Kisuwi Lessons
Lesson 2 - Writing
Introduction
Kisuwi has 2 writing systems. These lessons will cover 1 of the systems, which is the easier one of the two scripts. If you would like to learn the other one, click here. Kisuwi can also be written in the latin alphabet, which is the same alphabet as English. The spelling conventions for this was stated in lesson 1. There is also a cursive version of this script, which you can learn here.
There are 2 groups of letters. Group 1 contains 7 letters, and each letter can make a vowel or a consonant, so there are 2 sounds for each of those letters. Group 2 contains 4 letters, and those letters have special functions, such as indicating when a word starts with a vowel, or when it ends with an n. Unlike English, kisuwi is written right-to-left, meaning that you start at the right of the page and go towards the left.

Reading
You might think reading this script would be difficult because all of the vowels could also be consonants, but this doesn't cause any ambiguities because of way words are formed in kisuwi.
